# innerHTML

Retrieves the inner HTML content of the element.
This includes all HTML markup within the element.
Example: For `<p>Hello <b>world</b></p>`, innerHTML would be `"Hello <b>world</b>"`.

## Returns

[String](/reference/graphql/scalars/string)

The `String` scalar type represents textual data, represented as UTF-8 character sequences. The String type is most often used by GraphQL to represent free-form human-readable text.

## Usage

This field is available on the [Page](/reference/graphql/objects/page) object. Use it to query page information and content.
